Meg and Shane have been living in Whistler for several years but their families are from Scotland and Australia. So this was an international crowd. The ceremony was held at the Knoll on the Whistler Golf Course and the reception was at the clubhouse. Meg and Shane were a lot of fun and certainly got the party started with their first dance – a choreographed dance to Queen’s “Crazy Little Thing Called Love”.

Kristina & Landon were married on the beach at Parksville on Vancouver Island. They were a fun couple and the weather couldn’t have been better. Their entire families had all come from Edmonton and I traveled from Whistler. It truly was a destination wedding.

Nina and Jamie were married in the Catholic Sacred Heart Cathedral in Kamloops. It was a beautiful ceremony with some of the wedding guests singing solos. One one of the hottest May 15ths that Kamloops has ever seen the coolness of the Cathedral was welcome. The reception followed at the South Thompson Inn and Conference Center where a breeze from the river was also very refreshing.

Alex and Moira were married at the Roundhouse on Whistler Mountain. From there they took a helicopter sightseeing flight before returning to rented house in Blueberry for a very informal wedding reception. I spent all day with them so there is a wide variety of images, from Moira at the hairdressers, the ceremony and heli ride, portraits at a couple of locations and the party at the house.

Mike & Hilary were married on the Whistler Golf Course. One of the sunniest day’s in May, they were very lucky. I spent the whole day with them, particularly beforehand with Hilary getting ready. Many of their guests had come from all over the world so being able to share the highlights of their day on-line was fantastic for them.

Marty and Trinity were married in Armstrong, just north of Vernon, BC. It was a lovely 6 hour drive for me and an opportunity to see parts of the Province I hadn’t seen before. I met with them both the day before their wedding to go over locations and timing – they had a ’special’ spot for some portraits where Marty had proposed. With 6 hours of coverage I was able to accommodate their needs.

Justin and Diane were married in St. Paul’s Cathedral, Kamloops. Their reception was held at the South Thompson Inn & Conference Center. It rained a little, but that didn’t dampen their spirits. From Diane’s hair appointment to the first dance, their storybook album tells the tale of their day.

Aaron & Cheryl had originally eloped. They came to Whistler to renew their vows with their parents, friends and family present. It’s hard to have imagined a couple more in love, or more emotional about their day. The ceremony was held on the patio at Whistler’s Nicklaus North Golf Club and from there I took portraits of the couple on the floatplane dock and on the Valley Trail.
