Saturday, October 30th, 2010 Cheakamus Ridge Hike
Friday, October 22nd, 2010Rob and I went for a leisurely hike on part of the Sea to Sky Trail running from Squamish. A little rocky underfoot, but the fall colours were pretty, and the sun was warm. We stopped for a picnic and a beer then headed back.

Thursday, October 14th, 2010The Whistler gymnastics club has moved to the Olympic legacy high performance center. A permanent home, with permanent equipment. Certainly the kids were enjoying it. This is my upstairs neighbour, Charlie.

R.I.P Zeus
Tuesday, October 12th, 2010Today was Zeus’s last. Eight years in Whistler since I rescued him from the pound we have hiked just about every trail in the Whistler Valley. Addicted to sticks and balls and a sucker for attention, everyone who met him loved him, especially for his prancing gait.
He loved me without question and many’s the time he cheered me up on a bad day. I will miss him with all my heart and as sad as I am to see him go I know that today was the right time. It’s impossible to look at this collection of photos without a smile (and some tears too).

Monday, October 11th, 2010Rob and I took a chance on the weather today to hike into Cheakamus Lake. It was beautifully green and damp, and at one point we were in the mist. Once at the lake, however, the heavens opened with a hail and heavy rain downpour.
