365 Project – Day 76 Green Olympics

I can only think of one reason why these Olympic Rings, at the grand stand area of the Dave Murray Downhill ski run on Whistler Mountain, are green:  I can only think that they represent a “Green” ie eco-friendly Olympics.  Seems somewhat unlikely given the number trees they have cut down to install housing, ski jumps, parking, celebration plaza’s, Nordic ski runs etc for the Games in Whistler.  Perhaps the least ‘green’ thing is the bobsled track, slated to be the second largest ammonia storage area in North America.  Cool to watch, but green?,  I don’t think so.

Whatever you may think, though, there’s something cool about the Olympics and like a child, my boyfriend Rob just had to climb into the rings for a photograph!
